Saunders, Mostowy lead Men's Tennis past Mount Union

ALLIANCE -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team topped Mount Union by a 7-2 score on Saturday afternoon at Peterson Fieldhouse.
The Polar Bears have now won four in a row and push their record to 7-2 on the season and 2-0 in OAC play, while the Purple Raiders fall to 7-1, 0-1.
Senior Josh Saunders and sophomore John Mostowy teamed to win 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
They also both won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Junior Sam Prewitt and freshman Alex Starr won their doubles match by an 8-2 score, at the No. 3 position.
Prewitt won at No. 5 singles 1-6, 6-4, 12-10 and Starr won at No. 6 singles 3-6, 6-1, 10-4.
Also picking up a victory for ONU was senior Blake Troller, who won 7-6 (7), 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday, when it hosts a non-conference match against Ohio Wesleyan at 4:30 pm.
