Men's Tennis opens OAC play with 9-0 win over Heidelberg

ADA -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team opened up OAC competition with a 9-0 win over Heidelberg on Saturday afternoon at the University Courts.
The Polar Bears improve their record to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in OAC play, while the Student Princes drop to 5-4, 0-1.
In doubles play, senior Josh Saunders and sophomore John Mostowy won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles.
Seniors Blake Troller and Do Thai scored a 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles and junior Sam Prewitt and freshman Alex Starr won 8-0 at the No. 3 position.
In singles action, Troller and Starr won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Thai won at No. 1 by a 6-2, 6-1 score.
Saunders scored a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles, while Mostowy recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
Prewitt completed the sweep, with a 7-6 (2), 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday as they travel to Wittenberg for a 3 pm match.
