Junior Selby Wilt named OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Selby Wilt (Findlay) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 13-19.

This is Wilt's second time receiving the honor in his career.

The recognition comes after winning three events in both a tri-meet victory over Bluffton and Ohio Wesleyan on Friday night and a 143-84 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon.

On Friday, Wilt won the 50 breast in :28.43 and the 50 fly in :23.89 and was part of the 200 free relay who won in 1:29.62. On Saturday, he won the 50 free in :21.81 and was part of the 200 medley relay team that won in 1:38.21 and the 200 free relay that won in 1:28.67.

Wilt was named All-OAC in the 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay last season.

The Polar Bears (5-2 overall, 3-2 OAC) return to action Saturday at Wooster at 1 p.m.
