Men's, Women's Swimming and Diving teams to open 2024-25 season Oct. 18 at home against Wilmington

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming and diving teams will open their 2024-25 seasons on Oct. 18 with a home meet with Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington under seventh-year head coach Austin Veltman.

The Polar Bears will then compete at OAC foes Heidelberg on Oct. 25 and John Carroll on Oct. 26.

The Polar Bears will compete in the Calvin (Mich.) Quad on Nov. 1-2 and the Wabash (Ind.) Invitational on Nov. 22-24 to close out the 2024 portion of their schedule.

Northern opens 2025 at Mount Union on Jan. 11 and a tri-meet at Bluffton with Ohio Wesleyan in Lima on Jan. 17.

The Polar Bears host Baldwin Wallace on Jan. 18 on Senior Day and will wrap up their regular season at Wooster on Jan. 25 before competing in the OAC Championships on Feb. 12-15 in Akron.

The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled for March 19-22 in Greensboro, N.C.

In 2023-24, Northern's men were 8-4 overall and finished third at the OAC Championships, while the ONU women were 6-7 overall and placed third at the OAC Championships.
