Men's Swimming and Diving falls 180.5-107.5 to John Carroll in dual meet

Ada — Sophomore Selby Wilt (Findlay) sweept in the 50 and 100-yard free events, leading the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team in a 180.5-107.5 loss to Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.

Meet Highlights
- Wilt won the 50 free and 100 free in 21.53 and 46.92, respectively.
- Junior Holden Cubberley (Celina) won the 1- and 3-meter diving with 299.15 and 279.90 points, respectively.
- Junior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) placed second in the 50 free in 21.60 and the 100 free in 47.82.
- Senior Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee) placed second in the 1-and 3-meter diving with 207.75 and 172.90, respectivly. He also placed second in the 200 back in 2:03.04.
- Sophomore Long Huynh (Billings, Mt./West) placed second in the 200 butterfly in 2:00.83.
- Sophomore Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) placed second in the 100 breast in 1:00.18.
- The 200 medlay relay team of sophomore Aiden Magoolaghan (Hinckley/Highland), Clark, Wilt, and Horgan placed second in 1:35.94.
- The 400 free relay team consisting of Clark, Wilt, Horgan, and Spyker was second in 3:14.90.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two relays and 2 diving events.
- The Polar Bears posted first-place finishes in 4 of the 16 events.
- The meet was the fourth of 11 regular season contests for Ohio Northern.
- Austin Veltman is now 27-14 in his sixth season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
