Ohio Northern Men’s, Women’s Swimming and Diving selected as CSCAA Scholar All-America teams for spring 2023

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been selected as Scholar All-America teams for the spring 2023 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
The CSCAA selected 137 men's programs and 161 women's programs in NCAA Division III as Scholar All-America teams for the spring 2023 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring 2023 team grade point averages and represent 17,497 student-athletes from all divisions.
For the spring 2023 semester, the ONU men had a 3.21 team GPA, and the ONU women had a 3.15 GPA. Both programs also earned this recognition for the fall 2022 semester with respective team GPAs of 3.06 and 3.24.
In NCAA Division III, Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) held the highest team GPA (3.88) among women's teams, and Caltech (Calif.) held the highest team GPA (3.86) among men's teams.
The Polar Bear men closed their 2022-23 regular season with a 7-2 dual meet record, while the women's team was 4-5 under fifth-year head coach Austin Veltman. Both teams placed third at the OAC Championships.
