Sophomore Holden Cubberley named OAC Men’s Diver of the Month

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Holden Cubberley (Celina) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Diver of the Month for November.
This marks the second career OAC Diver of the Month award for Cubberley, as he earned the same accolade in December 2021.
The latest recognition comes after Cubberley competed in the 1- and 3-meter diving events at the Calvin (Mich.) Quad on Nov. 4-5 and the Chicago (Ill.) Phoenix Fall Classic on Nov. 18-20.
At the Calvin Quad, Cubberley placed first of nine in the 1-meter competition, scoring 480.55 points. He placed second of six in the 3-meter competition with 488.80 points.
The Polar Bears finished the meet with 711 points, placing second of four teams.
At the Phoenix Fall Classic, Cubberley placed third of 12 in the 1-meter competition with 482.00 points. He placed fourth of nine in the 3-meter competition, scoring 468.15 points.
The reigning OAC Diver of the Year, Cubberley qualified for the NCAA Championships in both 1- and 3-meter diving as a freshman. He holds the school record in the 3-meter diving competition with 500.50 points for 11 dives.
The Polar Bears do not compete in December and will return to action on Jan. 13 at Kenyon in a tri-meet with Oberlin.
