Men's Swimming and Diving posts All-Conference efforts in all five events on Day 1 of OAC Swimming and Diving Championships

AKRON — Ohio Northern had All-Conference efforts in all five events on Day 1 of the 2022 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday night at Ocasek Natatorium.
The Polar Bears are in third place out of five teams through six of 20 events with 187 points.
John Carroll leads with 299 points, Mount Union is second with 207, Baldwin Wallace is fourth with 152 and Wilmington is fifth with 111.
Sophomore Ben Lacey (Lebanon) finished second in the 50 free in 21.09, earning All-OAC honors for the second straight year.
Junior Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) earned All-Conference accolades in the 500 free for the second consecutive year, touching third in 4:42.10.
Senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) earned All-OAC kudos in the 200 I.M. for the second straight year, finishing third in 1:53.20
Lacey, freshman Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas), senior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) and senior Mike Lewandowski (Shelby Township, Mich./Eisenhower) earned All-OAC honors in the 200 free relay in 1:24.35.
Sophomore Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee), Adams, Stanley and Horgan wrapped up the evening with an All-Conference effort in the 400 medley relay. The group finished second in 3:27.07.
The top three finishers in individual events and top two finishers in relays earn All-Conference honors.
The Day 2 of the Championships will get underway on Friday with prelims at 10 am.
