Men's Swimming and Diving finishes third in 800-yard free relay on opening night of OAC Championships

AKRON — Ohio Northern finished third in the men's 800-yard free relay on the opening night of the 2022 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships Wednesday night at Ocasek Natatorium.
The Polar Bears are in third place out of five teams after the first of 20 events with 32 points.
John Carroll leads with 40 points and Mount Union is second with 34.
Sophomore Ben Lacey (Lebanon), freshman Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas), junior Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) and senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) touched in 6:56.60.
JCU won the race in an OAC record 6:41.27.
The top three finishers in individual events and top two finishers in relays earn All-Conference honors.
The first complete day of the Championships will get underway on Thursday with prelims at 10 am.
