Senior Jeremy Adams earns fifth OAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor of the season

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 17-23.
Adams has earned the honor for the second straight week and fifth time this season, giving him six for his career.
The latest honor comes after Adams had solid showings in meets against Ohio Wesleyan on Friday and at No. 4 Kenyon with No. 7 Case Western Reserve on Saturday.
In Friday's dual, Adams won the 50 free in :22.06 and was part of the 200 medley and 200 free relay teams that took first place in 1:37.82 and 1:29.47, respectively, as ONU defeated Ohio Wesleyan 165.5-60.5 to finish the 2021-22 season unbeaten at home.
In Saturday's tri-meet, Adams placed third of 16 in the 100 breast in :57.72 and placed eighth of 14 in the 100 fly in :52.63. He also competed as a member of ONU's 200 medley and 200 free relay teams that placed fourth of 10 in 1:36.73 and sixth of 11 in 1:27.55, respectively.
The Polar Bears return to the pool on Friday at 6 p.m. for a dual at OAC foe Baldwin Wallace to close out the regular season.
