Freshman Holden Cubberley named OAC Diver of the Month

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Holden Cubberley (Celina) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the Month for December 2021.

This marks the first such honor of Cubberley's career.

The Polar Bears competed in the three-day Wooster Invitational on Dec. 2-4, and Cubberley's performances in the diving events helped ONU secure a third-place finish out of eight teams.

Cubberley won the 1-meter diving event, scoring 452.95 points to best eight other competitors, and he placed third of seven in the 3-meter dive with a score of 440.80 points.

The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday for a home meet against Ohio Athletic Conference foe Mount Union at 1 p.m.
