Senior Jeremy Adams earns third OAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week accolade of the season

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5.
This marks the third time Adams has earned the accolade this season after doing so in the consecutive weeks of Oct. 18-24 and Oct. 25-31. He also earned the honor as a freshman in the 2018-19 season, giving him four for his career.
The latest honor comes after Adams accounted for 151.5 points, representing nearly 10% of ONU's 1,555 total, in leading the Polar Bears to a third-place finish of eight teams in the Wooster Invitational last Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Adams won two individual events, placing first of 22 in the 100 breast in :56.13 and first of 23 in the 200 breast in 2:06.89.
He placed second of 24 in the 200 I.M. with a time of 1:55.24.
Adams was also part of two first-place relay teams. ONU's 400 medley relay team placed first of 12 in 3:28.84, and the 200 medley relay team placed first of 12 in 1:33.53.
Adams was a member of ONU's 400 free relay team that placed second of 12 in 3:08.59 and the 800 free relay team that placed third of 10 in 7:11.15.
The Polar Bears will be off for the holidays and will return to action Jan. 15 at home against Mount Union.
