Jeremy Adams named OAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Oct. 18-24.
Adams won four of five individual events and was part of three first-place relay finishes as ONU opened its season with a 191-65 victory at Wilmington on Friday followed by a tight 168-129 loss to Hope (Mich.) on Saturday.
On Friday, Adams won the 50-meter breast in :30.61 and the 100-meter back in 1:05.65.
He followed that up by winning the 100-yard breast in 1:00.47 and the 200-yard breast in 2:14.97 to go with placing second in the 200-yard I.M. in 2:02.56 on Saturday.
Adams was also part of the first-place 200-meter medley and 200-meter freestyle relay teams that finished in 1:52.22 and 1:38.80, respectively, on Friday as well as the 200-yard medley relay team that placed first on Saturday with a time of 1:38.07.
This marks the second Swimmer of the Week accolade in Adams' career, as he also earned the honor as a freshman in the 2018-19 season.
The Polar Bears return to the pool on Saturday for their home opener against OAC foe John Carroll at 1 p.m.
