Seven Polar Bears earn All-Conference honors on Day 2 of 2021 OAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships

GENEVA — Seven Ohio Northern student/athletes earned All-Conference honors on the second day of the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the SPIRE Institute.
The Polar Bears are in third place two days one of the three-day meet with 420 points through 12 of 20 events.
Senior Patrick Reed (Charleston, W.Va./Washington) and freshman Ben Lacey (Lebanon) were All-OAC in two events.
Reed finished third in the 100 breast in :57.66 and Lacey was third in the 100 fly in :49.93.
The pair then combined with junior Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) and junior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) to finish second in the 200 medley relay in 1:31.91.
Junior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) was just ahead of Reed in the 100 breast, finishing second in :57.18.
Sophomore Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) was third in the 400 I.M. in 4:11.00 and freshman Evan Sailor (Goshen, Ind.) was third in the 3-meter diving with 380.15 points.
The top three in the individual events and the top two relay teams earn All-Conference accolades.
John Carroll leads the team standings with 661 points. Mount Union is second with 468 points, Baldwin Wallace is fourth with 218 and Wilmington is fifth with 180 points.
The final eight events will be on Sunday with prelims also beginning at 10 am and finals at 6 pm.
