Men's Swimming & Diving improves to 2-0 with 153-67 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Senior Day

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team won 10 of 13 events to post a 153-67 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Senior Day at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears stay in first place in the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season standings with a 2-0 record, overall and 2-0 in the OAC, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 0-2, 0-2.
Freshman Ben Lacey (Lebanon) won the 200 free in 1:47.31 and the 200 fly in 1:59.48 to lead ONU.
Senior Patrick Reed (Charleston, W.Va./Washington) won the 200 breast in 2:14.73.
Junior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) won the 200 I.M. in 2:01.05 and junior Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) won the 200 back in 2:00.13.
Sophomore Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) won the 500 free in 4:55.57.
Freshman Patrick Wellman (Dublin/Jerome) won the 1,000-yard free in 10:26.52 and freshman Evan Sailor (Goshen, Ind.) won the 3-meter diving unopposed with 204.35 points.
Northern opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay. Freshman Mason Meyer (Hudson), Adams, junior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) and sophomore Mike Lewandowski (Shelby Township, Mich./Eisenhower) won in 1:39.35.
Adams, DeLano, Jackson and Lacey wrapped up the meet by winning the 400 free relay in 3:15.76.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Feb. 19 with a dual meet at Mount Union.
