Cope sets facility record as Men's Swimming & Diving wins at Baldwin Wallace 128-103

BEREA — Freshman Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) set a facility record in the 400 I.M. to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team to a 128-103 victory at Baldwin Wallace on Friday night the the BW Natatorium.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-2 overall and are 3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 2-5, 1-2.
Cope won twice on the night and set a BW Natatorium record in the 400 I.M. winning in 4:18.68.
He also won the 500 free in 4:57.69.
Sophomore Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) also won twice, touching first in the 50 free in :22.48 and the 100 breast in :58.84.
Sophomore Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) won the 1,000 free in 10:41.43 and sophomore Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) won the 100 free in :48.68.
The 200 free relay team of sophomore Michael Lewandowski (Shelby Township, Mich./Eisenhower), Ayres, DeLano and freshman Logan Randall (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) won in 1:30.92.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Sept.25 with a meet at Case Western Reserve.
