Adams, breaststrokers lead the way for Men’s Swimming & Diving team during Day 2 of Wooster Invite

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team completed Day 2 of the Wooster Invitational Friday night. The Polar Bears made hay in the 100-yard breaststroke.
ONU sophomore Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) topped the field, boasting a time of 56.53. Freshman teammate Ian Kogucki (Kingwood, Tex.) touched third, recording a time of 58.23, while freshman Dillon Brady (Cleveland/St. Edward) and junior Patrick Reed (Charleston, W.Va./Washington) placed fourth and fifth with times of 58.46 and 58.51, respectively.
Sophomore Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.21.
The 800—yard freestyle relay team — of freshman Logan Randall (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain), Adams, Kogucki and sophomore Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) — took fifth with a time of 7:08.61.
DeLano also finished 10th in the 100-yard backstroke, logging a time of 53.75.
Northern finishes up competition at the Wooster Invite Saturday with preliminary races beginning at 10 a.m.
