Adams paces Men’s Swimming & Diving during Day 1 of the Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team wrapped up Day 1 of the Wooster Invitational Thursday. Sophomore Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) led the way for Northern with a couple of fourth-place finishes.
Adams touched fourth in the 200-yard individual medley, swimming a time of 1:56.22. Adams also helped the 400-yard medley relay team — comprised of senior Ryan Groehl (Marysville), sophomore Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) and sophomore Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) — take fourth, clocking in at 3:29.85.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team — of DeLano, sophomore Jack Kessler (Catawba Island/Port Clinton), junior Zach Ayres (Chillicothe) and freshman Dillon Brady (Cleveland/St. Edward) — rounded out ONU's top-10 finishers, as they took seventh, registering a time of 1:27.25.
The second day of the Wooster Invitational gets underway at 10 a.m. Friday with preliminary races.
