Men’s Swimming & Diving topples Wittenberg 134-51

SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team logged a road victory at Wittenberg 134-51 Friday night. The Polar Bears took first in nine events.
The 200-yard medley relay team — of senior Ryan Groehl, junior Patrick Reed, sophomore Jackson Stanley and sophomore Jack Kessler — topped the field, swimming a time of 1:41.26.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team — of junior Zach Ayres, sophomore Justin DeLano, Kessler and sophomore Jeremy Adams — paced the field, logging a time of 1:30.32.
Stanley also won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.93.
DeLano took first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:37.04. He also won the 200-yard backstroke, recording a time of 2:09.57.
Freshman Ian Kogucki placed first in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:52.22. He also won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:16.13.
Senior Nathan Donatelli claimed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:16.08.
Adams finished first in the 400-yard individual medley, registering a time of 4:30.68.
The Polar Bears travel to the Wooster Invitational Dec. 5-7.
