Men’s Swimming & Diving completes Day 1 of Calvin Quad

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team completed Day 1 of the Calvin Quad Friday night.
The Polar Bears were led by their 200-yard freestyle relay team — consisting of Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont), Zach Ayres (Chillicothe), Jack Kessler (Catawba Island/Port Clinton) and Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) — which touched fifth with a time of 1:28.52.
The 400-yard medley relay team — comprised of Chris Walton (Greenfield, Ind./Eastern Hancock), Ian Kogucki (Kingwood, Tex. / Kingwood), Ayres and Logan Randall (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) — placed sixth with a time of 3:41.81.
Individually, Adams took fifth in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 1:59.73. Kogucki finished ninth, recording a time of 2:03.48.
Northern will take part in Day 2 of the Calvin Quad Saturday.
