Senior Ian Simpson dubbed OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Senior Ian Simpson (Strongsville) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 13-19.

The senior earned the honor for the first time this season.

Simpson posted four victories on Friday afternoon during ONU's 207-90 victory over Wittenberg.

Simpson swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 back in :55.41 and the 200 back in 2:05.32. 

He was also a part of the 200 medley and 200 free relay teams that took first place in each event.

Northern returns to action on Nov. 30-Dec. 2 as it competes in the 3-day Wooster Invitational.
