Freshman Nolan Huey named OAC Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Freshman Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Co./Fossil Ridge) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Swimmer of the Week for the week of Oct. 24-29.
Huey led Northern as it split a pair of dual meets during the week.
In Northern's home opener Friday evening, Huey recorded two first place finishes as he won the 200 free in 1:48.89 and the 100 back in :55.47.
The freshman also finished second in the 100 back in :55.47.
In a dual meet with John Carroll, Huey led the way with three first place finishes.
Huey finished first in the 1,000 free in 10:12.84, the 100 back in :54.45, and the 500 free in 4:51.18 to lead Northern.
The freshman earned his first Player of the Week honor in his career.
The Polar Bears return to the pool Friday as they travel to Calvin (Mich.) to compete in day one of the two-day Calvin (Mich.) Invitational at 6 pm.
