GREENSBORO, N.C. — Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving sophomore Trevor Keriazes kicked off his first NCAA Championships Tuesday afternoon by competing in the 200 I.M. at the 2016 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Keriazes finshed 39th out of 45 swimmers in 1:53.54.
The sophomore entered the meet seeded 36th overall with a season-best time of 1:52.62.
"We had a really good showing and came back strong," said head coach Peggy Ewald. "I am very happy with both of their performances."
The top eight finishers in the prelims of each event earn All-America honors and advance to the Final in the evening session each day, while finishers 9-16 advance to the Consolation Final and earn Honorable Mention All-America honors.
Keriazes will return to the pool on Friday when he competes in the 100 breast. He enters the event seeded ninth overall.
