Chen, Simpson, Golba named Academic All-OAC in Men's Swimming & Diving for 2015-16 season

ADA — Junior Eric Chen and sophomores Thomas Golba and Ian Simpson were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's swimming and diving for the 2015-16 season.
The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Chen led the Polar Bears this season by scoring a team-high 90 points at the 2016 OAC Championships.
He earned All-OAC honors with top-3 finishes in the 50 and 100 free and 200 I.M. and was part of ONU's championship 200, 400 and 800 free relay and 400 medley relay teams.
Chen will enter his season as a 9-time OAC Champion and a 17-time All-OAC honoree and has scored 259.5 career points at his three OAC Championships meets.
Golba accounted for 43 OAC Championships points this season, placing in the 100 and 200 breast and the 50 free. He was also part of ONU's championship 200 free relay team.
In his two seasons as a Polar Bear, he has scored 66.5 OAC points.
Simpson is a two-time All-OAC honoree in the 100 back and was part of ONU's OAC Championship 200 and 400 medley relay teams.
In his two years at ONU, he has scored 97 OAC Championships points for Ohio Northern.
The Polar Bears won the OAC Regular Season title with a 4-0 record and are now a perfect 12-for-12 at the OAC Championships under 12th-year head coach Peggy Ewald, winning the team title in each of her 12 seasons.
