#30 Men's Swimming & Diving wins OAC Regular Season title outright; claims Golden Kickboard with 171-69 win at BW

BEREA — The No. 30-ranked Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team won the Ohio Athletic Conference title outright and claimed the annual Golden Kickboard trophy with a 171-69 victory at Baldwin Wallace on Friday night at the BW Natatorium.
The Polar Bears (7-1 overall, 4-0 OAC) won their 10th consecutive OAC Regular Season title and grabbed the Golden Kickboard for the eighth consecutive year with the win.
ONU also extended its OAC Regular Season winning streak to an impressive 34 consecutive meets.
The Yellow Jackets fall to 3-7, 0-3.
Northern won 10 of the 13 events on the evening to cruise to the victory.
Sophomores Trevor Keriazes and Braden Kuhn each won two events to pace the Polar Bears.
Keriazes won the 500 free in 4:54.82 and the 100 breast in :59.23, while Kuhn swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events with 165.75 and 143.75 points, respectively.
Junior Logan Pfeifer led a 1-2-3 Polar Bear finish in the 100 free by winning in :48.76 and sophomore Ian Simpson led a 1-2-3 finishnin the 100 back by winning in :55.71.
Freshman Pete He led a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 free with a winning effort in 1:49.36 and freshman Michael Parent won the 50 free in :22.90.
Northern also swept the two relay events, winning the 200 free relay in 1:40.20 and the 200 medley relay in 1:29.65.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday when they host #14-ranked Case Western Reserve in a 1 pm meet at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
The meet is also ONU's annual Swim for Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser.
