Sophomore Brian Heilbronner named OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Brian Heilbronner was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Oct. 22-28.

Heilbronner won the 100 back in :56.34 and won the 200 back in 2:04.07 to lead the Polar Bears (1-0 overall, 1-0 OAC) to a 204-75 victory at John Carroll in their 2012-13 season opener on Saturday.

He was also part of ONU's winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.

The victory extends Ohio Northern's streak of consecutive OAC regular season dual meet wins to 26.

The Polar Bears will open the home portion of their schedule on Friday against OAc foe Wilmington at 6 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
