Swimming & Diving teams to hold annual Swim for CF fundraiser Friday, Jan. 28
ADA — The Ohio Northern Swimming and Diving Teams are holding their annual "Swim for Cystic Fibrosis" Fundraiser Friday night during their 6 pm home meet against Notre Dame (Ohio) at the ONU Sports Center.
Cystic Fibrosis is a rare disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the U.S alone. The money raised at the event will be donated to the CF Foundation.
The CF Foundation relies on donations to help find a cure for this life threatening disease.
This is a community service project by the ONU swimming and diving teams to raise money for the foundation and to involve the campus community in our efforts to support Cystic Fibrosis.
All students, faculty and community members are invited to come support the Polar Bears in a highly competitive swim meet.
Special event 200-yard relay races will be held during the first diving break of the meet. Teams of four people are asked to email assistant coach Tomas Kuzvard at t-kuzvard@onu.edu to enter your team. Donations of $20 per relay are appreciated.
One hundred percent of the money donated will go directly to the CF Foundation.
Please support the ONU Swimming and Diving Team and their effort to support The CF Foundation to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Both ONU teams have clinched their sixth consecutive OAC regular season titles and extended their school-record OAC regular season unbeaten streak to 25 meets.
