No. 16 Men's Swimming & Diving suffers first loss of the season at No. 1 Kenyon
GAMBIER — The No. 16-ranked Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 1-ranked Kenyon, 133-110, at the Kenyon Aquatic Center on Friday evening.
The Polar Bears move to 9-1 overall, while the Lords improve to 4-3 overall.
Senior Michael Schultz recorded two wins for Northern, taking the top spot in the 1000 Free in 9:49.33 and in the 500 Free in 4:46.14.
Junior Marc Anderson also notched a first-place finish in the 100 Fly in 51:65, while classmate Drew Keriazes took the top spot in the 100 Breast in 59:06.
Ohio Northern also swept diving events, taking the top three spots. Junior Albert Schmidt took first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter with scores of 228.6 and 224.93, respectively.
Senior Nick Meyer took second in both events, scoring 225.75 in the 1-meter and 216.68 in the 3-meter. Sophomore Kyle Rex took third with 197.24 in the 1-meter and 200.93 in the 3-meter.
The Polar Bears are back in the pool Saturday at 1 p.m. in Berea against Baldwin-Wallace.
