Men's Swimming & Diving posts another dominating win at Wilmington, 185-74
WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team picked up its second win of the season on Friday in a 185-74 victory over Wilmington.
The Polar Bears are 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the OAC. Wilmington falls to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the OAC.
Ohio Northern had 13 first place finishes in the performance.
Junior Drew Keriazes earned three first-place finishes, scoring 27 points. He took wins in the 100 I.M. (1:03.22), 50 Freestyle (24.70) and 100 Breast (1:08.77)
Other first-place finishers included Michael Schultz in the 800 Free with a time of 9:02.22, and younger brother, freshman Jason Schultz, won the 400 Free with a time of 4:43.14.
Junior Kevin Piccirilli won the 200 Free in 2:11.91, junior Max McClary won the 100 Back in 1:04.62.
Sophomores Christian Garlock and Jordan Breitigam, and freshmen Brian Heilbronner and Jason Latham all notched individual wins on behalf of Northern.
In relay events, the 200 Free Medley team consisting of Garlock, junior Marc Anderson, and freshmen Chris Hoffman and Alex Clapsaddle, took first place with a time of 1:42.88.
The 200 Medley Relay team consisting of McClary, Breitigam, Clapsaddle and freshman Spencer Franzoi, also took first with a time of 1:55.19.
Ohio Northern looks keep with its winning ways tomorrow at home against Wooster; the first event starts at 1 p.m..
