Steven Duggan, Alex Shaffer named to OAC Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Stephen Duggan (Saginaw, Mich./Freeland) and junior Alex Shaffer (Galena/St. Francis DeSales) were named to the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team for 2024.

The second-seeded Polar Bears tied third-seeded Otterbein 1-1 in the OAC Tournament semifinals, but OU advanced to the finals 5-4 on penalty kicks.

Duggan performed spectacularly from his back defensive position in the match.

Shaffer picked up his first goal of the season at the 71:15 mark on a magnificent 35-yard blast to tie the match at 1-1.

The Polar Bears (13-3-4) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA III Tournament and will face Franciscan in the first round on Saturday at 3:30 pm at Denison.
