No. 19 Men's Soccer to face Franciscan in first round of NCAA Division III Tournament at Denison

ADA — The No. 19-ranked Ohio Northern men's soccer team will travel to Denison for the first two rounds of the 2024 NCAA III Tournament this weekend.
Northern will play No. 60 Franciscan (13-1-5) in the first round on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
No. 14 Denison (12-1-6) and No. 239 Anderson (Ind.) (8-7-5) will play in the first first round match on Saturday at 1 pm.
The two winners will play in the second round on Sunday at 3 pm.
The Polar Bears (13-3-4 overall) are making their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Ohio Northern earned one of the 21 at-large bids to the tournament as they were ranked No. 19 in the final NCAA Power Index.
Franciscan qualified for the NCAA III Tournament by winning the President's Athletic Conference Tournament title with a 2-1 victory over Grove City (Pa.) The Barons also won the PAC Regular Season title with an 8-0-3 record.
Denison earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament by being ranked No. 3 in the final NPI. The Big Red won the North Coast Athletic Conference Regular Season title with a 6-0-2 record, but lost on PKs to DePauw in the NCAC Tournament finals after tying 1-1.
Anderson earned an automatic bid by winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title in penalty kicks, 4-2, after tying 0-0 after regulation and two overtime periods. The Ravens finished fourth in the HCAC regular season standings with a 3-3-3 recond.
