Sophomore Colin Gottron named OAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Colin Gottron (Dayton/Centerville) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

This marks Gottron's first career OAC Player of the Week accolade.

The recognition comes after scoring a hat trick, including a game winner, to lead Ohio Northern to a 3-2 victory over John Carroll on Saturday. ONU clinched the No. 2 seed in the OAC Tournament with the win.

On the season, Gottron has 11 points on four goals and three assists. In 33 career games, he has 25 points on eight goals and nine assists.

The No. 22-ranked Polar Bears (13-3-3 overall, 7-1-1 OAC) return to action on Thursday when they host the OAC Tournament Semifinals at 4 p.m.
