Senior Ryan Sommerfeld named OAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Ryan Sommerfeld (Dublin/Coffman) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7-13.

This marks Sommerfeld's second career OAC Player of the Week accolade.

The recognition comes after scoring two goals with one assist to lead ONU to a 4-0 win over Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday, and scoring one goal with one assist in a 6-0 win over Muskingum on Saturday.

On the season, Sommerfeld has 18 points off six goals and six assists, leading the team in all three categories. In 62 career games, he has 60 points off 22 goals and 16 assists.

The No. 24-ranked Polar Bears (9-2-2 overall, 3-0-0 OAC) return to action on Wednesday at Heidelberg (0-10-1 overall, 0-3-0 OAC) at 4 p.m.
