Freshman Carson Zurmehly named OAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 9-15.
This marks Zurmehly's first career OAC Player of the Week accolade.
The recognition comes after he had a total of 10 saves in goal during three games this week.
Zurmehly recorded three saves in goal in a 2-1 win against Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday night, five saves in a 1-1 draw with No. 7-ranked Colorado College on Friday night, and two saves in goal in another 1-1 draw with Texas-Dallas on Saturday night.
On the season, Zurmehly has a total of 19 saves for a save percentage of .792.
The Polar Bears (4-1-2 overall) return to action on Saturday at Rose-Hulman (Ind.) at 3:30 p.m.
