ADA — Ohio Northern junior Kellan Minch (Beavercreek) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Midstream Lighting, for the week of Oct. 9-15.
This marks Minch's first career OAC Player of the Week accolade.
The recognition comes after he led the ONU offense in Wednesday's 10-1 win at Heidelberg.
Minch recorded team-highs of six points, two goals and two assists in the game. He proved efficient, as his two goals came on just three shots.
After assisting on Northern's fourth and fifth goals, Minch added to the lead by scoring the team's sixth and eighth goals against the Student Princes.
The 10 goals represented the Polar Bears' largest scoring output since an 11-0 win over Thomas More (Ky.) in 2000.
The Polar Bears (7-5-2 overall, 3-1-1 OAC) return to action on Wednesday at OAC foe Wilmington at 7 p.m.
