Damon Spaeth named Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Ohio Northern

ADA — Damon Spaeth has been named an assistant men's soccer coach at Ohio Northern.

Spaeth will serve as varsity assistant coach and reserve team head coach for the Polar Bears, joining a staff that includes fifth-year head coach Chris Matejka and assistants Seth Owings and Dave Knapp.

Spaeth comes to ONU after finishing his graduate assistant coaching position at Muskingum University.

Prior to serving as a graduate assistant coach at Muskingum, Spaeth was a four-year varsity student-athlete on the MU men's soccer team as a goalkeeper.

Spaeth is set to graduate this month with a master's degree in adult education.

Coming off a 2022 season that included an Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season championship and a berth in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, the Polar Bears will open their 2023 season on Sept. 1 at home against Kenyon.
