Men’s, Women’s Soccer earn College Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's soccer teams were each named College Team Academic Award winners by United Soccer Coaches for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
To earn the accolade, a team must post a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.
The ONU women achieved a team-wide GPA of 3.48 in 2022-23, and the men had a cumulative GPA of 3.28.
A total of 801 teams (307 men and 494 women) across the country earned the honor for 2022-23.
Ohio Northern was one of 179 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
Ranked No. 13 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top 15 Poll, the ONU men open their 2023 season on Sept. 1 hosting No. 5 Kenyon at 7:30 p.m. as part of a men's-women's doubleheader.
The Polar Bear women open the doubleheader against Wittenberg at 5 p.m.
