Weekend Preview: No. 11 Ohio Northern received an at-large bid to the to this year's NCAA Division III Tournament and is serving as a host team for the first and second rounds, which will be played at Kerscher Stadium … ONU will play Mt. Aloysius (Pa.) in the first round on Saturday at 1 p.m. … North Park (Ill.) and Rose-Hulman (Ind.) will face off in the other first-round game at Kerscher, beginning at 3:30 p.m. … The winners of those two games will advance to the second-round game, which is scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. … ONU is the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season champion, going 8-0-1 in league play … Mt. Aloysius (10-7-2) won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament championship … North Park (14-3-2) is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tournament runner-up … Rose-Hulman (13-1-4) is the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament champion … The Polar Bears are making their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and first since 2019 … Northern is 11-8-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and finished as the national runner-up in 2012 … ONU is coming off a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Wilmington in the OAC Tournament semifinals on Nov. 3 … Fifth-year senior Bryan Kern scored Northern's lone goal in the game, which came on assists from fifth-year senior Levi King and sophomore Ryan Parker … Kern and King were named to the OAC All-Tournament Team … King was selected as the OAC's Midfielder of the Year and was joined by Kern on the All-OAC First Team … Sophomores Noah Zebrak and Lucas Hickey were named to the All-OAC Second Team, and sophomore William Shaffer was a Third Team selection … Through 19 games, 17 different players have scored goals for ONU this season, and 22 different players have recorded at least one point … King recorded at least one point in all nine of ONU's conference games and has a team-best 22 points and eight assists on the season … King and Kern are tied for the team lead in goals with seven each … King is tied for second in the OAC in assists, is tied for fourth in points and is tied for sixth in goals … King has 39 career goals, which ranks seventh on the program's all-time list … King ranks sixth in program history with 107 career points, and his 29 assists rank sixth all-time … Hickey is 6-1-1 in goal on the season with 28 saves, a 1.27 GAA and .718 save percentage in eight starts and 11 games played … Senior goalkeeper Josh Ellis is 7-2-2 on the season with 32 saves, a 1.23 GAA and .711 save percentage in 11 starts and 12 games played … Ellis is tied for 10th all-time at ONU with six career shutouts … Mt. Aloysius is coming off last Saturday's AMCC Tournament championship victory over Penn State Behrend, which the Mounties won in penalty kicks, 5-4, after both overtime periods ended in a 1-1 draw … This marks the second straight NCAA Tournament berth for MAC, as the Mounties fell 2-0 to Messiah (Pa.) in the first round of the 2021 tournament … MAC has seven losses on the season but is currently riding an eight-game unbeaten streak … Senior Tevin Beadle has a team-best 11 goals and 24 points on the season … Sophomore Juan Camacho ranks second on the team with eight goals and 19 points … Sophomore Louis Bez has a team-high five assists … Junior Luke Priestley has started 15 games in goal, posting 47 saves, a 1.31 GAA and .712 save percentage.

Series Record: This marks the first all-time meeting between Ohio Northern and Mt. Aloysius (Pa.) … ONU trails the all-time series with North Park (Ill.) by an 0-2 margin … ONU leads the all-time series with Rose-Hulman (Ind.) by a 6-0 margin … ONU hosted North Park and Rose-Hulman earlier this season, falling 3-2 to the former on Sept. 4 and winning 2-0 over the latter on Sept. 24.
