FALKIRK, Scotland — Senior Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) scored twice to lead the Ohio Northern men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Falkirk FC's Development Squad on Monday evening at Falkirk Stadium.
Senior Aaron Shelton (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) got ONU on the board with a goal off an assist from junior Cade Winchester (Knoxville, Tenn./Alcoa) in the 18th minute.
Four minutes later, sophomore Nate Grotton (Centerville) scored off an assist from sophomore Stephen Duggan (Saginaw, Mich./Freeland) to make it 2-0.
Seven minutes into the second half, King scored the first of his two second-half goals when he picked up a free ball in the box and flicked it over the Falkirk keeper for a 3-0 lead.
In the 62nd minute, King headed a corner from sophomore Gavin Marshall (Troy) into an open net for the match's final tally.
The match was played in Falkirk's 8,000-seat stadium, by far the nicest venue on the trip.
Falkirk's squad consisted of its under-18 development players, a highly-skilled but young group.
