King headlines list of six Polar Bears that were named All-Ohio

ADA — The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association released its All-Ohio Team and its Academic All-Ohio Team this week. A group of six Ohio Northern players made the list.
Sophomore Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) headlined the honorees for Northern. He was named first-team All-Ohio after logging a season that saw him score a team-high nine goals to go alongside five assists for 23 points.
Junior Beelal Hasan (Worthington) was named third-team All-Ohio. He netted seven scores and four assists for 18 points, which was second-best for ONU.
Senior Luke Fickenworth (Cincinnati/Anderson) and junior Jimmy Walkinshaw (Plymouth, Mich./Canton) both boasted GPAs above 3.5 to garner first-team Academic All-Ohio accolades. Fickenworth registered three goals and one assist for seven points, while Walkinshaw had three scores and six assists for 12 points.
Senior John Sternasty (Akron/Revere) and Noah Bachwitz (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) rounded out the list for ONU, as both were named second-team Academic All-Ohio. Sternasty did most of his work on defense while still managing to log three assists, and Bachwitz had a pair of goals and one assist for five points.
The Polar Bears ended the season with a 13-6-3 overall record. Northern earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, falling to St. Norbert (Wis.) 0-0 in double overtime in the opening round.
