ADA — The No. 19 Ohio Northern men's soccer team came up on the short end of a 1-0 decision against No. 13/22 John Carroll Saturday night. The loss drops the Polar Bears to 11-4-1 overall and 3-2-0 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
The Blue Streaks (11-2-2 overall, 4-0-1 OAC) logged the game's lone goal during the 66th minute. Chase Fernkorn scored off a corner kick from William Turrittin.
Both clubs finished the game with six shots — all six for Northern were by six different players. The Polar Bears had two of its six shots on frame, while four of John Carroll's six shots were on target.
ONU sophomore goaltender John Lombardo (Solon) registered three saves, and JCU goalie Connor Robinson recorded two saves.
The Polar Bears will look to right the ship Wednesday at Heidelberg.
