ADA -- Freshman Zachary Yoder (Goshen, Ind./Northridge) scored with 1:53 left in regulation to rally the Ohio Northern men's soccer team to a 1-1 tie on Senior Night on Saturday night at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears wrap up their regular season with a 12-5-2 overall record and are 5-3-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Pioneers move to 10-5-3, 4-3-2.
ONU will be the No. 4 seed and Marietta will be the No. 5 seed in next week's OAC Tournament.
The two teams will meet again in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 7 pm at Kerscher Stadium.
Marietta took a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute when Cole Pappas scored from just outside of the box after an ONU turnover.
Northern tied the game off a set piece when senior Grant Cayot (Roanoke, Ind./Blackhawk Christian) send a free kick into the box after a Marietta penalty.
Senior Cory Lains (Zionsville, Ind.) headed the ball to Yoder at the near post and he tapped in the pass for the equalizer.
ONU out-shot Marietta 3-0 in the two overtime periods, but could not get the match-winner and the teams settled for a draw after 110 minutes of action.
Ohio Northern finished with 20 shots and Marietta had 12.
Freshman Dylan Plank (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim) had seven saves in goal for the Polar Bears.
ONU celebrated its seven seniors that have posted a 58-20-8 record in their four years at ONU in a post-match ceremony.
