Men's Soccer lands 14 Academic All-OAC honorees

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team had 14 players named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in voting done by the leagues academic advisors.
Sophomore Braden Davies, sophomore Chris Garbig, junior Brandon Homan, sophomore Dean McNeil, sophomore Mac Tompkins, junior Tommy Troy, junior Aaron Smith, junior Dustin Lorenzo, junior Grant Allbritten, senior Chad Smith, sophomore Cory Lains, sophomore J.J. Fortner, sophomore Ben Conkin ans junior Patrick Sabol all were honored.
Davies is a mechanical engineer major and earns his first career Academic All-OAC honor.
The sophomore missed most of the season due to injury.
Garbig appeared in 19 games this season for ONU, scoring two goals and recording two assists.
The sophomore earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade.
Homan started all 23 games this season for ONU, earning his first Academic All-OAC honor.
The junior recorded two assists and scored a key goal in the OAC Championship contest this season.
McNeil recorded 10 shutouts this season en route to being named the OAC Goalkeeper of the Year.
The mechanical engineering major earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade.
Tompkins a mathematical statistics major earns his first Academic All-OAC honor.
The sophomore made eight appearances at defender for Northern.
Troy claims his second Academic All-OAC honor.
The biology major scored three goals and recorded one assist this season for the Polar Bears.
Smith an athletic training major earns his second career Academic All-OAC accolade.

Lorenzo appeared in 19 games for ONU at midfield recording four assists.
The criminal justice major earns his second Academic All-OAC accolade.
Allbritten earns his second Academic All-OAC accolade.
The biochemistry major scored one goal this season for the Polar Bears, making 18 appearances at defender.
Smith earns his third Academic All-OAC honor.
The defender recorded one assist this season.
Lains made nine appearances this season, recording one assist.
The pharmaceutical business major earns his first career Academic All-OAC accolade.
Fortner, also a pharmaceutical business major, earns his first Academic All-OAC honor.
The sophomore scored seven goals and recorded one assist this season.
Conkin earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade.
The mechanical engineering major made appearances in eight games this season at the forward position.
Sabol scored eight goals and recorded one assist this season for the Polar Bears.
The pharmacy major earns his second Academic All-OAC honor.
The Polar Bears went 17-5-1 on the season, winning the OAC Championship and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA III Tournament.
