ADA — Junior Matt Kinkopf scored twice and added an assist to lead the Ohio Northern men's soccer team to a 5-1 victory over Anderson (Ind.) on a beautiful Friday night at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 7-3-0 on the season, while the Ravens fall to 0-6-2.
Kinkopf scored his fourth and fifth goals of the week in the match and now leads the Ohio Athletic Conference with 23 points on nine goals and five assists.
His first tally came in the 13th minute off an assist from junior Patrick Sabol.
Six minutes later the two reversed roles as Sabol scored off a pass from Kinkopf with 18:46 gone in the match to put ONU up 2-0.
Junior Austin Horton made it 3-0 at the 23:42 mark of the first half off an assist from sophomore Chris Garbig.

But the Polar Bears responded quickly as junior Grant Allbritten headed in a cross from sophomore Dakota Swisher just 57 seconds later to extend Northern's lead to 4-1.
Kinkopf wrapped up the scoring a goal on a blistering shot off an assist from junior Brandon Homan in the final minute of the match.
