BEREA - The Ohio Northern men's soccer team fell 2-1 Tuesday night to Baldwin Wallace in their final road game of the regular season at George Finnie Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 11-7-1 on the season and 4-3-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play. The Yellow Jackets improve to 8-10-1, 4-3-1.
The lone Polar Bear goal came early on in the 15th minute of the game as junior Chase Mueller rebounded a free kick and beat the goalie to make the score 1-0 in favor of ONU.
Shortly after in the 24th minute, Baldwin Wallace's Ben Deighton evened the score at one apiece.
BW took the lead for good as Deighton scored another goal in the 69th minute to put the Yellow Jackets ahead 2-1.
ONU out shot Baldwin Wallace 20-14 on the night and edged them in corner kicks by a 8-6 margin.
Freshman Dean McNeil recorded five saves on the night for Northern.
The Polar Bears will conclude regular season play as they host Marietta October 31st at 7 pm at Kerscher Stadium.
