ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team defeated Case Western Reserve 4-1 in the night cap of a women's/men's double header Saturday night at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 6-3-0 and the Spartans fall to 4-3-1 this season.
Three different Polar Bears recorded goals in the match.
The first goal came in the 5th minute from freshman Dakota Swisher, giving ONU the early 1-0 lead.
ONU struck again in the 9th minute as sophomore Dustin Lorenzo was able to capitalize off a corner kick from sophmore Austin Horton to make it 2-0.
Sophomore Matt Kinkopf led the offensive attack for the Polar Bears in the second half scoring two goals in less then two minutes.
Kinkopf's first goal came in the 56th minute, followed by another one in the 57th minute off an assist from junior Chad Smith.
Freshman goalkeeper Dean McNeil earned the victory and improves to 2-2-0 this season.
The Polar Bears are next in action on Wednesday at 7 pm as they host Manchester (Ind.) at Kerscher Stadium.
