Freshman Keegan Ross named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Keegan Ross was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 22-28.
Ross scored an incredible seven goals and had a pair of hat tricks as the No. 7-ranked Polar Bears (18-2-0 overall, 9-0-0 OAC) defeated Wilmington 3-1 and Muskingum 5-0 last week.
This marks the second time this season that Ross has earned the award and the fourth time this season that an ONU player has received the honor.
Ross earned the award on Sept. 4, junior Jeremy Barnes won it on Sept. 10 and senior Nate Bascom won it on Sept. 17.
Ross scored all three goals as the Polar Bears topped Wilmington 3-1 on Wednesday, then scored four times in ONU's regular season ending win at Muskingum on Saturday.
This season, Ross is second on the team with 42 points on a team-high 18 goals and six assists.
The Polar Bears won the OAC Regular Season title with a 9-0 record and are the No. 1 seed in this week's OAC Tournament.
Northern will host a semifinal match at 2 pm on Thursday and would host the finals on Saturday at 2 pm with a victory in the semifinals.
