Men's Soccer moves up to No. 4 in first weekly NSCAA poll
ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team moved up eight spots to No. 4 in the first weekly 2012 Continental Tire/NSCAA Men's Division III poll in voting conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Tuesday.
The Polar Bears (2-0-0) were ranked No. 12 in the 2012 preseason poll and were No. 11 in the final 2011 NSCAA poll.
ONU has now been nationally ranked in four of the past five seasons.
Trinity (Tex.) is ranked No. 1, York (Pa.) is second and Loras (Iowa) is third.
Northern won the Penn State-Behrend Tournament with a 4-0 victory over Geneseo State (N.Y.) and a 4-1 victory over Centre (Ky.) last weekend in Erie, Pa.
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday with a 5 pm match at Anderson (Ind.)
