Northern finishes the conference portion of the season unbeaten with an 8-0-1 record and improves to 16-2-2 overall.
The Polar Bears also lock up the top seed in next week's OAC Tournament and following a first round bye, will host a semifinal game Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The Pioneers end their season 2-13-2 overall and 1-6-2 in conference.
Six different Polar Bears notched goals during the game, with junior Cameron Johnson leading the pack with two. Junior Chris Matejka recorded three points during the contest with an assist on Christian Huelsman's goal in the 17th minute, followed by a goal in the 19th minute.
Adding to the night's highlights, Huelsman's goal put him at 127 career points, placing him first in the program's history in all-time career points and surpassing head coach Brent Ridenour's 125 points.
Also finding the back of the goal were seniors Robert Sellers, Zach Crawford and junior Josh Green. Crawford recorded his second goal of the season, while Sellers and Green each recorded their first.
