ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team made a big jump in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) national rankings, moving to No. 15 from the No. 23 spot. The team also moved up a spot in the D3Soccer.com poll to No. 15.
The Polar Bears posted a 4-0 win at Otterbein last week, and followed up with a 2-1 win over then No. 10-ranked Baldwin-Wallace. After his success last week, junior forward Nate Bascom was named OAC Player of the Week for Men's Soccer after notching nine points on four goals and an assist.
In the NSCAA ranking, St. Lawrence (N.Y.) remained at the top spot, with the next eight spots remaining unchanged since last week. In the D3Soccer.com poll, Messiah (Pa.) claims the top spot and the next five spots also remained unchanged since the previous poll.
Northern is in action Wednesday when it hosts Wilmington for a conference contest at 4 p.m.
